Cold Coffee
You know what? Coldness does not always hurt. I mean cold reactions, cold glares, cold and cough does hurt but a good glass of cold coffee doesn’t. Funny right? Yeah. Maybe a little funny. A little funny because it took me 0.00 seconds to switch from cold reactions to a glass of cold coffee.
But see? Life is like that. It doesn’t give you moments, it is the moments. The things one thinks, does or procrastinate are all in the moments but never truly in the moments until it is passed and have become a memory.
Today I am feeling very cold coffeesish kind. Sounds strange? Yes to me too but that’s what I am feeling the very moment. Feeling cold coffeeish means that I feel cold like milk but not the sad cold but the content cold, bitter and effective like coffee which can defiantly take away someone’s sleep or might motivate work and all at once crushed like ice cubes too!
I think cold coffee is such a beverage to cherish! Not that it isn’t cherished enough already but to the core.
A good cup of coffee gives one energy to wake up all night and work but that’s just coffee. To be precise “hot coffee”.
But cold coffee, it’s a leisure beverage. A beverage to just enjoy and talk or maybe just keep up the silence; either way. It’s always great to have someone over for a cold coffee date rather than a drink date? If that is what it is called.
I have my answers for this. A long list.
I believe, the cold milk in the coffee eases the amount of anxiety and gastric problems inside one’s stomach(it’s great for people suffering from nausea), the perfect ration of items like ice cream, Choco chips, vanilla essence and more can just make it look and smell like a beauty! An absolute beauty. And of course the coffee punch as one drinks it. Coffee’s bitterness calms down with all of the above but it doesn’t dissolve. It remains and stand still like a strong character. The coffee in the cold coffee gives sense and protects. It does. It does because it doesn’t let you completely flow or sleep through. It protects as it ensures the coffee kick keeps a focused check on thoughts and words that are shared and uttered.
By now, it’s just romanticising of cold coffee but what good of a romance is it if it doesn’t come with flaws? The only thorns that I see in cold coffee is the way it is made. The recipe. I am not very fond of it. I hate when ice cubes are crushed vigorously like it has committed some sin, hate the way how the milk is added with coffee and blended till it all becomes one. I think it’s quite rough and immediate in nature.
But maybe that’s where the truth of life lies, “It’s true that beautiful things have dents and scratches too.”
